Let's break down the most common reasons for this issue, ordered by how common the issue is when troubleshooting Minecraft. Everyone has Minecraft installed and fired up, but one or more players cannot even see the hosting player to connect in the first place. This is, far and away, the biggest problem people run into when setting up Minecraft on their local area network (LAN). "I Can't See the Minecraft Game on the LAN" You may not need the advanced troubleshooting help, but just a quick overview of how to get things up and running. That said, there is a good chance you may run into more than one of these issues over the course of your Minecraft-playing days, so it certainly wouldn't hurt to read from top to bottom and even bookmark this article for future troubleshooting.Īlso, if you're relatively new to Minecraft, check out our guide to setting up a LAN game here. We've set the article up with the individual sections labeled based on the specific things the people who need your troubleshooting help might say, like "I can't see the Minecraft game on the LAN," or "I can connect, but I get kicked out." When your child (or friend) comes to you with one of these questions, you should be able to find the answers right here. It does NOT have any magical mods. With that in mind, we've written this guide emphasizing helping the layperson, who is often a parent trying to understand Minecraft and help their child, quickly identify what they need to do to alleviate their specific problem. But the mod is based off of one thing.THE RACE TO THE MOON!And for one thing. Plus, it adds TONS of stuff that uses Redstone. Most people don't know but if you pulverize Redstone Nether ore, it gives you 24 Redstone. Nether Ores have a ton more stuff inside a single block. Thermal Expansion adds a way to double your ores through pulverizing and smelting. Then you have Buildcraft which adds a Quarry(Mines for you), Pumps(Is a pump), and pipes, and oil. The more hard drives you add, the more space you have. Other mods include AE(Applied Energistics) which adds a computer to the game that you can upgrade, and create recipes for that allow you to tell it to craft things. I prefer Tekkit, because it has Galacticraft wich allows you to go to the Moon, Mars, and create your own space station. There are 3 versions, as of 2/27/15: Tekkit, Tekkit Lite, and Tekkit Classic. Tekkit has around 110 mods added, and you can launch it through the Technic Launcher Modpack. Tekkit is not illegal for one thing, and it's not just for mulitplayer. Treecapitator: Handy little mod so that, if you chop the bottom of a tree out with an ax, all the wood in the tree falls down at once (kind of like real life, eh?). There's a ton more creatures in Technic than there are in regular Minecraft.
